Our Story
Vianne began in a college dorm in 2023 as a side hustle.
At the time, Julia Vianne Vacala was a college student frustrated by how disconnected sustainable fashion felt from her world. The styles weren’t relevant and the messaging rarely spoke to her demographic. She started reworking thrifted textiles to create clothing that felt personal, current, and conscious.
After graduating college in three years, she took Vianne full time. Soon after, she brought on a full-time COO and began building a small but powerful team of women dedicated to doing fashion differently. What started as a solo project turned into a growing business rooted in shared values and student leadership.
Vianne creates licensed, sustainable collegewear that reflects the values and culture of this generation. Every piece is designed with intention and made in partnership with ethical manufacturers. Every collection is shaped by students. And every part of the business is built with long-term impact in mind.
The name Vianne means “alive.” It reflects our belief that fashion should feel connected to the people who wear it and the world it affects.
