Vianne’s Purpose

When Julia Vianne Vacala founded Vianne Clothing, she wasn’t just launching a brand, she was addressing a deep disconnect in the fashion industry. As a Gen Z entrepreneur, she saw firsthand how sustainability was growing in visibility but not in relevance, especially for young people. While college students cared about the planet, they didn’t see themselves in the products or the messaging of most sustainable brands.

Vianne was created to change that.

We’re here to make sustainability aspirational, stylish, and deeply personal, without compromising on ethics, inclusivity, or purpose. Every piece we make tells a story: of upcycled materials, ethical production, and a growing movement of young leaders committed to redefining fashion for good.

The fashion industry is responsible for over 92 million tons of textile waste each year, and college students, one of the most active consumer demographics, are a driving force behind fast fashion’s growth. The system is built on overproduction, exploitation, and excess.

At Vianne, we’re not just aware of the problem… we’re actively building the solution.

Part of the Solution

From the start, we’ve been committed to using surplus fabrics, thrifted textiles, and secondhand materials to produce our most iconic pieces, like our camo zip-ups and college sets. We’re also working toward a no-waste production model, where leftover fabric scraps are upcycled into accessories and small-batch designs.

In 2025, our mission took a major step forward through our partnership with Goodwill South Florida, whose apparel division employs hundreds of people with disabilities to help ethically produce Vianne’s pieces. This partnership allows us to scale with impact, create local jobs, and bring our vision full-circle, from thrifting at Goodwill to manufacturing with them.
